February 2010

Recently, the artist has been working on several paintings: Amur leopards crossing the river, a running wild boar and a duel of moose. With a high resolution, all these paintings can be viewed in the gallery.

At the same time, he completed several sketches of the future picture – the fight of a tiger with a bear

“The Running Boar” is almost finished. Other works can be rewritten. This manner of working on several paintings at the same time is common for an artist. Some works remain in the workshop for a long time. Months later, the artist returns to them again and again. This allows you to distract from a certain topic and see the work with a “fresh” look. Sometimes Vadim uses this technique: he looks at the picture through the mirror. Such a “mirror” look greatly changes her perception and sometimes helps to notice some mistakes.
